Overview

Legends of Aria Overview

Legends of Aria is an open world fantasy MMORPG inspired by classics like Ultima Online and Runescape with player housing and a skill based progression system. There are no levels to grind through in Legends of Aria. To improve your skills you must practice the particular ability to improve its efficiency; slash away at countless bandits to improve your proficiency with a blade, ultimately unlocking new skills.

Legends of Aria also offers a unique shard system where players design living worlds or join other player's creations. Players are able to create their own servers with unique rule-sets, stories, and themes, such as a world embedded in Greek mythology or one seeped in magic. A simple system lets players share their worlds or play privately, and hop from one sphere to the next. Following the distinction between shards, each world will have unique craftable items (such as duct-tape bombs on a steampunk server or platemail on a low-fantasy world). Players are able to build their own homes within the game world, with large areas of uncultivated land available for the taking.

Legends of Aria Key Features:

  • World creation - design your own genre-specific MMO world with a unique ruleset, such as high-fantasy magic or fill it with grinding steampunk gears.
  • Skill-based progression - increase skills by practicing a particular ability, improving your efficiency and unlocking new abilities as you advance.
  • Crafting - craftable items alter depending on the world you're in, such as swords in a medieval sphere or duct-tape bombs in a steampunk world.
  • Player Housing - cement your place in the world by constructing a home with fully customizable housing.
  • Animal Taming - persuade a menagerie of animals to join you on your journey.

Legends of Aria Review

Legends of Aria, developed by Citadel Studios, is a sandbox MMORPG that offers players a vast, open-world experience. The game is set in a fantasy world and allows players to explore, build, and interact with the world and other players in a variety of ways.

One of the standout features of Legends of Aria is its vast, open world. The game features multiple regions, each with its own unique landscape and ecosystem. Players can explore these regions to their heart's content, discovering hidden locations and encountering a variety of creatures along the way.

In addition to exploring the world, Legends of Aria also offers players the ability to build and customize their own homes and communities. Players can gather resources, construct buildings, and even create their own custom dungeons and quests for other players to experience. This allows players to create their own unique experiences within the game world.

Another notable feature of Legends of Aria is its player-driven economy. The game doesn't have any NPC vendors, so players must trade with each other to acquire the items they need. This creates a dynamic economy that is constantly changing based on player actions.

The combat in Legends of Aria is also noteworthy. The game features a skill-based combat system that allows players to choose their own combat style. Players can specialize in a variety of different weapons and abilities, allowing them to create unique character builds. The combat itself is challenging and requires strategy and skill to master.

In terms of social features, Legends of Aria offers a variety of ways for players to interact with each other. The game has a robust chat system that allows players to communicate with each other in real-time, and it also features player-run organizations called "clans" that allow players to join together and work towards common goals.

Overall, Legends of Aria is a well-made sandbox MMORPG that offers players a vast, open-world experience. The game's player-driven economy, customizable housing, and challenging combat make it a great choice for fans of the genre. And best of all, it's free to play, so there's no harm in giving it a try.
