If you're looking for a new anime-style shooter, you're in luck, as a new anime-styled third-person shooter known as Fairy Tale Busters entered Open Beta in Japan earlier this week. The game features an assortment of both PvE and PvP modes. The PvP modes include a Team Deathmatch mode that can be played on one of four maps and another, melee-only Team Deathmatch mode that can be played on a single map. There are also "Sniper Battle" and King of the Hill-like rulesets. PvE is simply a cooperative gameplay mode in which you and several other players face off against NPCs.

While it is a third-person shooter, much like Cosmic League, Fairy Tale Busters has a city map where players can walk around and see other players. The town also holds all of the game's shops, including the gacha shop.

You can find more information about the game or download it now via the official website. I am unsure about whether you will need to use a VPN or set your computer to a specific locale in order to play, but some people are reporting issues with the installer saying that the downloaded files are corrupted, which may be indicative of needing your computer to bein the Japanese locale.

Update: I've successfully downloaded and played the game. No VPN or locale change is necessary. Some users are reporting that the installer is corrupted when downloaded, but I had no such issues.

In lieu of an actual trailer, I've embedded Steparu's gameplay video below. They seem quite amused by the ragdoll animations that happen on death.

Update 2: For those having issues installing the game with the Install Files Corrupt, Please Obtain a New copy error, download the installer from HERE. Afterwards, delete ALL your temp files (go start->run-> type %temp%, then delete all the files in there). Then you should be able to open the installer.
