Runescape Adds 200th Quest

For a game as long running as Runescape, it might come as a surprise that they have only just added the 200th quest. However, that does not mean it is not an event to be celebrated. In fact, the event is so large that Jagex has made great announcements and even released an overview video for the quest and sub-quests within it. The quest was created by the winner of an in-studio competition, and will only be available to subscribers.

Involving alternate reality and a devious necromancer, "Dimensions of Disaster" is definitely not a quest to be taken lightly. Take a look at the video below to see more!

RuneScape Releases F2P Servers

As one of the oldest and longest lasting MMORPGs of all time, RuneScape has gone through immeasurable changes since its initial release in 2001. Through various developments and even two entire reboots, RuneScape is still going on very strong. However, those who played in its early years might be disappointed at what the game is now. Not every change has been one that all players agree with, and Jagex is well aware of this. In order to appease those fans of an older kind of RuneScape, they previously launched "Old School RuneScape", which is a relaunch of RuneScape 2 from 2004. Those who wanted to play the older version had to pay a monthly subscription fee in order to help keep the servers running. However, it was just announced that there is now a permanant free-to-play option for "Old School RuneScape". While there are some restrictions to prevent botting and spam, many players should be enthusiastic about the future of a relic from the past.
