If you’ve been planning to roll an alt in Dark Age of Camelot, then now’s the perfect time to do so as the Catch Up in Caledonia fresh start event goes live. The latest iteration of the event, dubbed Mordred’s Revenge, will drop newly created characters into the Caledonia battleground where they’ll be able to participate in a persistent PvP battle to level up, no mob grinding required.

“Calling all those with a bloodlust for player vs player mayhem! Come and join the Dark Age of Camelot community as Broadsword Online Games launched their 10th Catch Up In Caledonia Event … this time with a twist unseen for years. For the first time in ages, the Mordred PvP ruleset is back for a time-limited event on the Ywain server cluster!”

The battleground is open to all level 1 characters with an option to instantly boost your character to level 10. You’ll also have the option to leave the battleground at any time, but you won't be able to come back. Levels will be capped at specific points that will increase throughout the duration of the event up until level 50, with special buffs granted to characters 5 levels or more below the day’s cap.

Speaking of buffs, the developers note that buffbots won’t be required for the event, as buff tokens will be free up to level 40. Players are also advised to form groups of up to eight players for protection. Any player who’s not a member of the group will be considered fair game.

Catch Up in Caledonia: Modred’s Revenge will run until December 11th at 12 p.m. PST. Happy hunting!
