ELOA Recruits Forum Moderation Volunteers

ELOA-long02

Upcoming MMORPG Elite Lord of Alliance has announced a recruitment campaign for volunteers to help manage their community relations. Volunteers will be able to climb through various moderator ranks, and set up some early E-cred for those who are interested in investing time into the upcoming MMO. Prospective mods need to be over 18, able to contribute on a daily basis, and proficient in English in order to apply.

Volunteer Moderators will be responsible for moderating the official ELOA forum, reporting issues, assisting in testing and assisting WEBZEN in game and on the forums. In return, WEBZEN says they're offering gaming industry experience, leveling up forum titles, mod status on the official forums and being much closer to WEBZEN employees. Other games such as Nexon's Mabinogi have also used this structure previously— and in my experience it can lead to some serious power-mongering and conflict of interest situations.

How do you guys feel about volunteer player mods in your MMOs? Let us know in the comments below.
