Final Fantasy XI Introduces High-Tier Shinryu Battlefield And New Ambuscade Content

As promised last week, Square Enix has rolled out a more challenging version of The Wyrm God encounter in Final Fantasy XI. Surprisingly, the high-tier version has no level requirements but players will need to have at least 10,000 Cruor to make it to the Empyrean Paradox where they’ll get to take on a buffed-up version of Shinryu.

New Ambuscade content has also been added to the game in the form of a Funguar fight in Normal Ambuscades and the return of the Sahagin in Expert Ambuscades. This month’s update also introduces several quality-of-life improvements and fixes for a handful of known issues.
