Guild Wars 2 Pro League Season One Finals Are Being Held February 20th
ArenaNet announced today that Guild Wars 2's inaugural ESL Pro League Finals will be held this Saturday, February 20th, at 4 PM GMT. This event will officially give Guild Wars 2 the honor of being "the first-ever ESL Pro competition for an MMO." The $100,000 pool is simultaneously "one of the richest offered for an ESL Pro tournament" and the largest pool that Guild Wars 2 has seen yet. The competition is said to have "a new meta, new builds, new team compositions, and new tournament rules in effect."
Competing in the event are the European teams Rank Fifty Five Dragons and Vermillion and Team PZ and The Abjured from North America. "Pro League favorites" Team Orange Logo and The Civilized Gentlemen were defeated by the two European teams that will be competing.
The finals will be broadcast on the official Guild Wars 2 Twitch channel. Viewers will be given a chance to win prizes from Sennheiser and Corsair, both of which have partnered with ArenaNet for the event.
