Battalion 1944 Overview
Battalion 1944 is an upcoming World War II multiplayer shooter developed in the spirit of classic FPS's such as Call of Duty and Medal of Honor. Built on Unreal Engine 4, players traverse real world European locations such as the French city of Carentan, equipped with weaponry modeled after their real-world counterparts, such as the Kar98 or M1 Garand. Line up enemy soldiers in your sights and pull the trigger to climb the leaderboard. There are no abilities to count on; raw skill is needed to survive. Players with precision aiming will rise to the top of games Battlerank system thanks to robust stat tracking. Compete against other players in seasons to earn rewards such as cosmetics and distinguish yourself on the battlefield.

Development History / Background:
Battalion 1944 is developed by UK based development studio Bulkhead Interactive. The game was announced and posted to Kickstarter on February 02, 2016 with the goal of raising $142,577. Crowfunding was successful on February 05, 2016, raising the required funds in under 3 days. Battalion 1944 was also posted to Steam Greenlight on February 02, 2016. Bulkhead Interactive was formed from two companies, Deco Digital and Beco Studios, who had previously worked together on Pnemua: Breath of Life. Bulkhead Interactive was the first team to release an Unreal Engine 4 game on the fourth generation of mainstream consoles. Battalion 1944 is scheduled to release as an Early Access title in May, 2017.
