Despite the controversy surrounding its business model, ArcheAge has trudged on. Version 2.5 "Bloodsong" just launched, bringing with it the game's first "puzzle-style" dungeon, Mistsong Summit. The dungeon can be taken on by up to 5-players. It features three bosses and 14 new quests. The Lunafrost armor and other rewards can be obtained there.

PvP also saw a significant update with new arenas and modes. "Any player over level 30" can now take part in both 1v1 and 3v3 matches. In these matches, they must choose "one of eight gladiator skill sets." They are "automatically scaled to level 55" and neither buffs nor consumables can be used. The matches are best two out of three. It sounds quite a bit like Blade and Soul's existing PvP mode, though it appears that all players in the 3v3 compete simultaneously.

Several other additions were made. Players can now receive rewards for reaching level 55. Daily "Blood, Sweat, and Training" quests are available, rewarding players for victories in the arena. "All-new player housing options," 50 new pieces of furniture, and a "Moby Drake Fishing Boat" are now available. Players can now use both "a mount and battle pet simultaneously."

Additionally, all players who have an account that has been lapsed for 30 days will be able to join the "Bloodsong Welcome Promotion." While the promotion is active, players can earn the Springsong Greeman Suit and the Wisdom Tree Pet. A full 14 days of free Bloodsong-themed gifts will also be handed out daily as part of the promotion.
