NCSoft and Amazon Games recently unveiled its 2024 development roadmap for Throne and Liberty, giving players a glimpse of what they have in store for the global version of the Korean MMORPG. The roadmap promises an exciting lineup of updates, events, and content releases designed to keep players engaged throughout pre-order early access and in the months after its highly awaited global launch.

The first major update rolls out in October, bringing with it a series of new features and PvP-focused events. According to NCSoft, the goal is to “improve the overall player experience without disrupting the core progression,” and this philosophy will guide updates moving forward. October will introduce several PvP systems, including new Boonstones and Riftstones, offering players more ways to challenge each other in guild-based PvP events.

Field bosses will also begin making appearances in the game’s open world, giving players the chance to earn valuable rewards. The big highlight of the month will be the introduction of two powerful archbosses, Queen Bellandir and Tevent, who’ll drop powerful and valuable gear that players can claim once a week.

November promises even more action, with the first large-scale Castle Siege mode making its debut. This PvP mode pits multiple factions against each other as they battle to control Stoneguard Castle. The victorious guild will then have to defend their prize in subsequent sieges, making this a major event for Throne and Liberty’s PvP community. November will also mark the first season of the PvP arena, along with the debut of two-star co-op dungeons for players seeking a more cooperative experience.

Looking further ahead, NCSoft has confirmed that December will bring Throne and Liberty’s first major content update, though specific details remain under wraps for now. For fans eager to dive into all the upcoming content, the roadmap offers plenty to be excited about as the MMORPG continues to evolve.
