After three weeks in the European LCS, the five way tie has been broken and G2 Esports and H2k have come up on top. Both teams have demonstrated legitimate strength as they beat contending teams. The rest of the teams have a long way to go to make it to the coveted 1st place.
G2 vs Fnatic, H2k vs Vitality, and UoL vs G2 are the games to watch for this week. G2 Esports' midlaner, Emperor has been especially potent as he consistently dealt huge damage and helped carry his team to victory against Fnatic and Unicorns of Love.

The games to watch in week 4 are Elements vs Vitality and G2 Esports vs Origen on Thursday and Elements vs H2k and UoL vs Vitality on Friday. The results of these matches will prove if G2 and Vitality deserve to be top teams.

The first game features a fantastic comeback and the second demonstrates why ROX Tigers are the best team in the world right now. Eight teams have been competing for a spot at IEM Katowice this past weekend. Day one (Jan. 28) involved Group A featuring CyberZen, Risky Gaming, MVP.Karnal, and Chiefs eSports Club. Day two (Jan 29) featured Group B with Renegades, Eat You Alive, MongolZ, and TyLoo. The first two days ended with Chiefs eSports Club and CyberZen coming out in Group A and The MongolZ and Renegades getting out of Group B. Incidentally, TyLoo was disqualified from playing because one of their players, named qz, was VAC banned in 2013. Uncovered by reddit, the ban makes the team ineligible to play current and future Valve events. As a result, The Mongolz was automatically placed in the Group B winner's match.Day 3 (Jan. 31) was the semifinals where Renegades defeated CyberZen 2-0 winning 16-8 in Cobblestone and 16-4 in Mirage. On the other side of the bracket, The MongolZ defeated Chiefs eSports Club 2-1 losing 16-13 on Inferno but winning Dust 2 10-16 and Cobblestone 9-16.
The Grand Finals between Renegades and The MongolZ featured an upset in Cobblestone 16-9. In the second map, Inferno, The MongolZ dominated the Renegades winning 16-2 with the help of a stuck bomb glitch. By winning IEM Taipei 2016, The Mongolz qualifies to IEM Katowice on March 4-6. Eyes will be on The MongolZ to see if they can repeat their dominating performance against the Australian Renegades with top European teams like Fnatic and Na'Vi.
HellRaisers defeat E-Frag in the PGL Regional Minor Championship Europe Grand Final
HellRaisers won the PGL Regional Minor Championship Europe 2-1 against E-Frag this last weekend. HellRaisers took the first map, Dust 2, 16-13 but lost the second map, Inferno, 6-16. In the last final map, HellRaisers won Cobblestone 16-6 to qualify for MLG Columbus LAN.
MLG Columbus LAN features a $250,000 USD prize pool and the top 16 teams in the world such as Team EnVyUs, Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Fnatic, Virtus.pro, Astralis, and Luminosity Gaming. The tournament will be held in Columbus, Ohio on April 1-3 and is the first North American Major Championship in Counter-Strike history.

Starting from Jan. 27-31, the MarsTV Dota 2 League Winter 2015 tournament featured a prize pool of $277,577 USD. The competing teams included Vici Gaming, OG, Evil Geniuses, LGD Gaming, EHOME.cn, Team Secret, Newbee, Team Spirit, compLexity Gaming, and Mineski.
The tournament started with the 10 teams in a round robin with two groups playing best of twos. The top team in each group advanced to the Semifinals in the winner's bracket, the second place to the Quarterfinals of the winner's bracket, the third place to the loser's round, and the last team was eliminated. The group stage ended with Vici Gaming and LGD Gaming winning their respective groups.
In the Quarterfinals EHOME.cn defeated Evil Geniuses 2-1 and OG defeated Team Secret 2-0. The Semifinals were both sweeps by the second seeds with EHOME.cn defeating Vici Gaming 2-0 and OG beating LGD Gaming 2-0. In the Winners' Finals, EHOME.cn took the series 2-1 against OG to meet Evil Geniuses who fought through the entire Losers' bracket to meet EHOME.cn once again in the Grand Finals.
The Grand Finals featured EHOME.cn and Evil Geniuses and EHOME swept Evil Geniuses in a convincing 3-0 win. LaNm played especially well as their team captain and a fantastic final play at the Roshan pit. With this victory, EHOME is in position as one of the favorites to win the Shanghai Major.
