The Matrix Online was a 3D science fiction themed MMORPG based on the popular movie series of the same name. Players had the opportunity to explore a world modeled after the movie with a story written by many of the original writers of the movie and comic series. The Matrix Online soundtrack was composed by Don Davis, who also scored the movie trilogy's soundtrack. The Soundcloud embed features all of the BGMs, tracks, and music from the The Matrix Online soundtrack. The game was developed by Monolith Productions and published by Sony Online Entertainment (Now Daybreak Game Company) and required a monthly subscription. The Matrix Online first launched on March 22, 2005, and was shut down on July 31, 2009.
