adventurequest 3d sandsea update key art bannerThe Sandsea update is now live in AdventureQuest 3D, opening the gates to the new town of Bastion in the new Sandsea desert zone. The new desert town continues the game’s storyline and features new level 31 quests and challenges that veteran players can take on as they make their way up to the new level 32 cap.

“Valencia is waiting for you in Bastion with a lead on an artifact that may help to defeat Vane. Bastion is closely guarded from outsiders so equip your best level 31 gear and prove your worth to General Gaspar, the leader of the town guard. He has some ideas of how you can make yourself useful...”

The update also comes with a new dungeon where players will get to face off against new monsters, including beetles, sneks, and a massive poisonous water monster. There’s also a variety of colorful new Sandsea-themed armor and stat-imbued outfits that players can either purchase or craft using currency and materials acquired from the new dungeon.

Players can also look forward to several quality-of-life improvements in the game, including the new reconnect feature, speech bubbles for NPCs, lootbag improvements, and the removal of level caps for quests. Necromancer summons also now work in PvP and AoE telegraphs should now appear correctly.

Bastion is just the first part in the new Sandsea saga. The next part is scheduled to drop in 2 weeks according to developer Artix Entertainment. “This is just the appetizer... get ready for the desert,” the studio said. “The Sandsea is our largest area in the game spanning pyramids, oases, and other treasure-filled locations. SandSEE you in game...”

Artix also teased a “terrible new kind of potion” coming on April Fool’s Day, the team’s favorite “holiday.” We’ll keep an eye out for that so stay tuned. You can also make your way over to the AdventureQuest 3D official site for more info.
