[UPDATE] Alleged MU2 Online Video Surfaces

Update: Webzen's own IanGuy Lee, who is MU2's Studio Producer, issued this statement about the leak: "It is a true that the happening with the leaked video is MU2. The video was produced with the purpose of our internal beta test back to March 2015, not for any public promotion/marketing purposes. What the past video describes is completely different from the latest version of the build, in present, 2015 November, for sure."

An alleged trailer of MU2 Online, the long-awaited sequel to Webzen's most popular game, has surfaced. The video is said to be a leak from the official Webzen account, dating back to March 2015. and the current speculation of its original poster is that Webzen will formally unveil the title at G-Star 2015 between November 12th and 15th. Webzen have stated that the previous speculation about unveiling at G-Star 2015 is untrue. They will not even be attending G-Star this year.

The video itself depicts a game that appears to be something more akin to ELOA or Devilian than it does the original MU Online. My initial impression is that there appears to be an emphasis on instanced dungeons, with small parties of players able to partake. The combat system appears to be in like with what we've come to expect from top-down MMORPGs.

I was able to run several of the phrases at the bottom of the video through the Google Translate app, but unfortunately, it would not detect large parts of two of the phrases properly. The ones I was able to get are as follows.

Monster match the player's level due to a crack in the dimension of justice or that they break infestation.

Meet monsters in dungeons, and cooperative play is essential in Epic Dungeon.
