The Baldur’s Gate team follows up its early launch announcement with a TikTok video showing the Necromancer class in action. The brief gameplay footage features a necromancer character commanding a legion of skeletal minions and even shows an NPC reacting to the undead parade from within a crowd.

The video gives fans their first glimpse of how necromancy will work in the Dungeons & Dragons-inspired multiplayer game, although its left fans with more questions about the enigmatic sub-class, such as whether the minions can be controlled separately or as a group. The difference between controlling each zombie individually or as a collective unit is especially important in multiplayer scenarios. While micromanaging each minion might prove advantageous in single-player mode, it could potentially become a cumbersome task when playing with friends.

The necromancer stands out among Baldur’s Gate’s expansive roster of classes because of its unique collection of undead-raising skills. Unfortunately, there’s still no word on when it will be making its way to the game, which means that players will have to make do with the wizard for the time being.

Fans who can’t wait to jump into the upcoming game can also play the Baldur’s Gate 3 interactive prequel here, where they’ll band together with the community to solve as grisly murder mystery set in the eponymous city and the Western Highlands.
