Gellyberry Studios is gearing up for the re-launch of Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore by wiping the servers tomorrow. In the meantime, the team has been hard at work patching up the game, with two recent updates focused on fixing bugs and balancing the gameplay. These updates have addressed issues such as companions leeching XP, monster pathing, gold dupes, and the over-the-top XP rewards earned in the Wildlands.

The latest patch also includes some new additions, like a monster level indicator, properly awarded vocation abilities, and a new Brawler Feint ability for the Brawler class. The team will also be rolling out another patch alongside tomorrow’s wipe which will add a new bank in Silverlake, improve dungeon scaling, and fix other issues, including XP discrepancies, fishing bugs, and missing monsters.

“The mainland was always intended to be more open and free for players than Solitary Isles,” explained the devs. “However, issues and mistakes during the May 1st launch resulted in the mainland missing most of its higher tier resources and monsters. Combined with the lack of quests, this made the mainland feel empty and deserted for players exploring after leaving Solitary Isles.”

“After fixing the larger bugs, we have ensured that all resources exist in their intended locations and all monsters spawn where we want them to,” they added. “However, our work is not finished yet, and we will continue to improve upon what we see as the base game for the relaunch.”
