EverEmber Online's Future Looks Grim

After spending more than a year in Beta, EverEmber Online finally launched on December 23rd. Now, less than a month later, it seems as if EverEmber may simply disappear into the ether without a trace. According to a Reddit post from earlier today, the game servers have been offline for "a while." As of today, the website is also inaccessible. At this point in time, no one that is affiliated with the game has stepped up to offer an explanation as to what is happening. Multiple concerns have been raised about the game's liberal use of RPG Maker assets in a non-RPG Maker engine in the past. However, it is unclear at this time if this is the cause of the game's sudden disappearance.

The Eclipse Origins-powered MMORPG prided itself on providing a sandbox experience in which players could level a multitude of skills in a similar manner to RuneScape. It was also one of a rare few MMORPGs that officially supported gamepads. During its time online, it garnered a small community that was fairly dedicated.
