Fractured Online Servers Go Offline To Address A New Duping Exploit And Faulty Hard Drive

Dynamight Studios was forced to take Fracture Online servers offline yesterday and will again be suffering a rollback due to a duping exploit that’s been running rampant in the early access sandbox MMORPG. The good news is that the rollback won’t be as extensive as the one performed in response to the game-breaking hack in November.

“For safety reasons, we must keep servers offline until the exploit is figured out and resolved,” the team announced on Discord. “A short rollback may take place to fix the damage done.”

While investigating the exploit, the team also discovered that the hard drive of the server that was hosting the Terra continent was faulty. Rather than waiting for the host to repair the drive, they simply decided to replace the entire server earlier today.

Meanwhile, the developers are hard at work on the promised Endgame Changer patch which will introduce major adjustments character balance, builds, and PvP. The patch is expected to go live on the public test server this weekend.
