Grim Dawn Announces Fangs Of Asterkarn Expansion Launching Alongside Version 1.2
Multiplayer ARPG Grim Dawn is taking players on a journey through a frigid land in its upcoming Fangs of Asterkarn expansion. The expansion will open up the titular snowy zone of Asterkarn where players will encounter its cold-hardened inhabitants and even harder enemies foes.
“Trek across the glorious snowy peaks of Asterkarn, delve into frozen caverns, and explore ancient forest valleys and breathtaking hot springs as you seek to purge the corruption tainting this idyllic landscape. Parlay with the Kurn tribes and aid them in rekindling old alliances as you contend with the darker side of their bloody history. Uncover hundreds of new items and create wondrous potions customized to your needs.”
Asterkarn will feature a new rogue-like dungeon, powerful new bosses, the new Ascendant game mode, and additional Crucible waves for those who own the DLC, in addition to new epic loot, customizable potions, and the ability to reroll magic and rare items.
The accompanying Version 1.2 update will also revamp loot tables, allow characters to reach max level on any difficulty, and introduce balance adjustments to monster abilities, rare affixes, challenge areas, healing skills, and more.
Developer Crate Entertainment has yet to lock in a date for the expansion and update’s release but we can probably expect it to come out sometime in the near future. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, Version 1.2 is now available for testing on the public test server.
