World Seed, an indie tabletop-inspired casual MMO from Ape Egg, flew under our radar when it launched into Steam Early Access last month. The game features a constantly-changing game world that players can explore tile by tile, with various creatures to fight, a crafting system, online co-op, and PvP.

“World Seed is a procedurally generated sandbox MMORPG with roguelike features. The main focus of the game is build-diversity & character progression. In this game you'll become stronger by crafting & upgrading your equipment or simply roll the dice and hope for some epic loot to drop as you slay enemies. It's a harsh world to survive in, so make sure to bring some friends along when in need of help.”

The current version has all the core gameplay systems in place with 12 playable classes, over 100 quests, over 75 unique creatures, and 8 infinite worlds to explore. The game is expected to stay in early access until sometime in mid-2022 with more features currently in the works, including story quests, a specialization tree, guilds, and a global PvP organization.

World Seed is now available on Steam for $8.99 for those who want to check it out.
