Elder Scrolls Online Reveals Details Of Upcoming Scalebreaker DLC In A New Dev Blog

elder scrolls online scalebreaker blue dragonWith The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr expansion just over a month old, ZeniMax and Bethesda are already hard at work on a new DLC called Scalebreaker. Scalebreaker is a PvE-focused content drop that will bring with it two new Season of the Dragon dungeons: Moongrave Fane and the Lair of Maarselok. A recent dev blog reveals a few details of the upcoming DLC.

“Deep within the ancient ruins of Moongrave Fane, a former member of the Dragonguard and his fellow vampires of the Hollowfang Clan have felled and captured a Dragon. However, they wish to do more than simply destroy the humbled beast, as the clan prepares a ritual to drain the Dragon of its blood and gain its terrible power!

Neighboring Elsweyr, Grahtwood’s Elden Root tree is threatened by a deathly corruption that originates from the nearby jungles of Tenmar and the Lair of Maarselok. Grahtwood’s protectors have tried and failed to destroy the Dragon at the center of the blight, so a truce has been called between the forest spirit Selene and her captor, the warlock Carindon. Together, and with your help, they must attempt to save the Elden Root tree before the corruption can spread.”

The DLC will also come with Update 23 for the base game which features multi-Guild Trader bidding, multi-crafting, Battleground updates, changes to Undaunted Keys, and more.

Scalebreakers is scheduled to come out some time in August. We’ll let you know as the devs announce a definite date. In the meantime, the devs will be showing off the new dungeons tomorrow on Twitch.
