It’s been a rough week for both the Mortal Online 2 developers and the sandbox MMORPG’s players after it was hit with a series of DDoS attacks that caused various login issues that persisted through the weekend.

The hackers were also able to gain access to a game master’s account. The team says that the hackers only had access for four minutes and that every action made on the account was logged and that they’re currently in the process of reverting them.

“We want to make sure everyone knows that GM Taner did nothing wrong, he did not go rogue or do anything himself that was negligent, and he is still a valuable member of our team,” noted Star Vault.

The studio apologized for any inconvenience the attacks may have caused and assured the community that they’re working with their hosting service to ensure that all player data is secure. “We want to assure you, our players, that your information is safe,” said the devs. “We do not hold any personal data such as addresses, credit card information or player’s real names, all of this is handled by Steam.”
