Overwatch 2 is celebrating Thanksgiving with a double XP weekend event from now until 11 a.m. PT on November 28th. During the event, players will earn twice the normal experience from all matches which will allow them to level up their battle pass and unlock rewards faster, including the new support character Kiriko which can be unlocked upon reaching level 55. Alternatively, she can also be unlocked for free by purchasing a premium battle pass

Players will also be able to claim free highlight intros throughout the last two weeks of November. Junker Queen’s “Five Finger” highlight intro can be claimed by logging in between now and November 26th, while Kiriko’s “On the Wind” intro can be claimed by logging in from November 26th to November 30th.

If you have no qualms about spending money on the game, Blizzard is running a Battlenet Black Friday sale which slashes 40% off of the Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack. The pack includes the Season 1 battle pass, 2,000 Overwatch Coins, and multiple skins. Several skins are also being offered at a discount in the cash shop with legendary skins being offered at just 1,000 Coins instead of 1,900 Coins. Unfortunately, the sale has drawn attention to the fact that Blizzard still refuses to lower the prices of premium cosmetics in the popular hero shooter.
