Project Gundalf Is A Next-Gen MMOBA From Cult Of The North Slated For Release In 2025
MOBAs have traditionally been small-scale, team-based multiplayer games but Project Gundalf promises to take the genre to the next level as a “next generation massive PvP game”, otherwise known as a MMOBA (Massive Multiplayer Online Battle Arena).
Project Gundalf is the flagship game of Swedish indie studio Cult of the North, a newly founded studio whose vision is to create and develop “the next generation of intense, action-packed multiplayer experiences for PC and console.”
Details are still scarce at the moment, but the team says that it’s eyeing a 2025 release window for the UE5-powered title. Sign-ups for upcoming playtests are now open on the Cult of the North official site if you’re interested. We’ll be sure to keep you abreast of any new developments.
