Star Wars Jedi and Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment is looking to leverage the popularity of The Mandalorian with a first-person shooter inspired by the live action TV series. As you can probably guess, it will drop players into the metallic boots of a bounty hunter during the Galactic Civil War, the timeline of the original Star Wars film trilogy.

According to Insider Gaming, the project is currently in the early stages of development and promises stylish traversal and movement mechanics that make full use of the Mandalorian’s iconic jet pack. It also promises action-packed gameplay that will reward players with faster health regeneration when they kill multiple enemies in a row.

Players will also have a vast arsenal of weapons and tools at their disposal, including a grappling hook, a wrist rocket, and a helmet visor that’s capable of tagging and tracking enemies. It won’t be an open world game though. While players will get to travel to iconic locations across the Star Wars universe, they’ll only be able to do so as they progress through the linear levels and storyline, much like the Star Wars Jedi series. And if it’s anything like Star Wars Jedi, it probably won’t have multiplayer either.

Respawn Entertainment has yet to announce a timeline for the game’s release, but we’ll let you know as soon as more information comes to light.
