Runescape Devs Showcase New Mining And Smithing System

runescape mining screenshotMining in MMORPGs is a tedious chore at best but can be very rewarding for players with a whole lot of patience and time on their hands. Especially once you finish smithing those raw materials into usable and sellable gear. Jagex, however, is working on improving the mining and smithing system in Runescape to make it more intuitive and easier for players to get into in general.

According to the

dev stream, the new mining system will be simpler with more accessible mining sites. “You just kick the rock and [the game] does it for you,” says the devs. The video also showcases the new smithing UI, the artisan workshop, and Orikalkum armor. Check out the full stream right after the break.
