Colony-Building MMO SEED Now Accepting Sign-Ups For Its Biggest Playtest Yet

Klang Games is pooling applicants for another NDA-covered playtest for its in-development space colony-building MMO, SEED. As previously revealed, the SpatialOS-powered game will task players with founding and managing a colony on a new planet called Avesta 1,000 years after the Earth’s destruction.

As an MMO, you’ll be able to cooperate with other players to build a sprawling utopia with a functioning society. Or, you can also make it your mission to destroy other colonies, so you alone can reign supreme. It also promises robust farming and economic system that will allow you to cultivate your own crops and livestock or play the role of a capitalist to create jobs and build an industrial empire.

Along the way, you’ll need to juggle various tasks, the most important of which is to ensure that your colony is safe and continues to function while also tending to the day-to-day needs of your colonists.
