Seekers Of Skyveil Drops NDA And Shows Off Gameplay Footage In A New Dev Video

Elodie Games has burst the bubble of secrecy surrounding Seekers of Skyveil as it drops the NDA for the hero-based fantasy extraction game’s ongoing playtests. With the NDA now out of the way, the developers took time to show off actual gameplay footage of the in-development title, which they describe as an extraction game, RPG, and MOBA hybrid.

Players are dropped into a single map called the Everbloom on a hunt for loot which they can obtain from mobs, bosses, treasure chests, and off the corpses of other players. The MOBA influence is evident right off the bat, from the camera angle and art style to the game’s progression and skill-based combat.

Unlike most extraction shooters, Seekers of Skyveil moves away from dark and gritty themes in favor of the more vibrant visuals you’d typically see in MOBAs like DOTA 2 or League of Legends. You also won’t be leaving empty-handed even if you fail to reach the extraction point, although it looks like that’s entirely dependent on your performance.

Should you die during the match, there’s a chance that you’ll get to keep some of the gold you picked up during the match along with a handful of knick knacks. You’ll also get experience points that you can spend towards leveling up your Seeker. This should encourage players to stick around and try again, although there’s obviously a very significant upside to winning since you’ll get to keep every last piece of item and gold that you looted during the match.

The next Seekers of Skyveil playtest is set for March 21-22 minus the NDA, so you can proudly show off your in-game experiences to the world, assuming that you received an invite of course. You can sign-up for the upcoming playtest by requesting access on Steam.
