Three months after its initial announcement, Swords of Legends Online has finally launched in the west. As expected, and as is the case for most MMO launches, players started running into stability and performance issues on the NA server shortly after the servers went online, including login problems, disconnects, and false maintenance notifications.

The problems appear to have been solved following two emergency downtimes over the weekend and a long call with Microsoft to identify the cause of the issue. Gameforge is continuing to monitor the NA server. Meanwhile, there have also been complaints about lag in certain regions outside the US and Europe, especially Oceania and South America, which could very well be due to the servers being located in the east coast and Germany.

Aside from the launch issues, Swords of Legends Online is doing quite well on Steam, receiving “Mostly Positive” reviews from players. So far, the game is still available at the pre-purchase price of $39.99 minus the pre-order cosmetics.
