Swords Of Legends Online Hasn’t Received An Update For Two Months Now

It’s been a few months since we last heard from Swords of Legends Online, an MMORPG that has been getting new content and dungeons like clockwork since it launched in mid-2021. Unfortunately, it looks like the game’s future isn’t looking too bright.

Based on posts from the official forums, or the lack thereof, it looks like Swords of Legends Online hasn’t been updated since November when Gameforge rolled out a minor patch to fix the prop hunt-inspired Halloween event. Since then, the news and announcements posts on the forums have been limited to regular maintenance alerts, which, at least is still happening.

Unsurprisingly, the game’s Discord has been flooded by complaints about the lack of updates and communication from the dev team. The words “scam” and “clown” are also reportedly being thrown around haphazardly in the channel.

As for the game’s population, Steam Charts reports a 24-hour peak concurrency of just over 200 players with 58 players online as of this writing. That being said, the lack of updates and low player numbers doesn’t necessarily mean that the game is dead… yet. Other MMOs have bounced back from extended hibernation before with updates that succeeded in bringing players back to the game. Hopefully, that’s the case here.
