A few months ago, Turkish developer Vawraek Technology announced an extremely ambitious and promising new sandbox MMO called The Quinfall. The game promises a massive open world, time travel, and a weapon-based class system, among others. The studio, however, has remained relatively silent about the project since its announcement, apart from a few teasers on Twitter every month and an extensive community Q&A on Discord back in March.

During the Q&A, the studio revealed that the game won’t have traditional classes but will instead choose a weapon type to specialize in, such as sword and shield, bow, or staff. Experience will be earned for each weapon type, allowing for more flexible character progression. Players will be able to advance through 50 levels and “100 grades” which presumably pertains to the weapon levels.

The Quinfall will also feature open-world dungeons, optional PvP engagements, city sieges, caravans, and a naval system. Notably, guilds will have the opportunity to claim their own islands in overseas countries that will provide them with strategic advantages but will also be vulnerable to attacks from other players. The studio says that strategic building and constant upgrades will be crucial to keep attackers at bay.

It’s worth noting that while the studio has been happy to reveal bits and pieces about the game, they remained tight-lipped about its time travelling aspect, saying that they want it to remain a mystery for now.

Vawraek Technology is looking to start closed beta testing by the end of the year to give fans time to get hands-on experience with the game and provide valuable feedback ahead of its official launch.
