Digital Extremes announced Warframe's latest update, The Second Dream, today. They are calling this Warframe's largest update yet. It comes with a host of additions, including a new Warframe.

The new Warframe is named Ivara. She is a stealthy, bow-wielding huntress. Her abilities include becoming invisible temporarily, shooting an arrow that creates a zipline, summoning a powerful bow, and even controlling arrows in flight. It certainly seems like one of the more fun Warframes to be released yet.

The titular quest, The Second Dream, is the game's first cinematic quest. In it, "the Sentient Hunhow has enlisted the Stalker to destroy the Tenno by exploiting a long forgotten secret." This quest is said to "cut to the heart of what it means to be a Tenno." New players will be required to play a few other quests before taking it on, but veteran players will be given a chance to play the quest right away.

Several smaller additions were made. The end-game now has a "Sortie System" that allows players to take on difficult missions for exclusive rewards in loot tables that cycle in 15-day "seasons." The rewards include event weapons that have not been available since the event they were given away during. A new PvP map, Orokin Moonbase, has been made available. A new daily login rewards system has been implemented. A new weapon, the Sniper Rifle, has been introduced.
