Waven Kicks Off Whisperer Season And Welcomes New Astramanis Heroes Today
Ankama’s free-to-play multiplayer tactical RPG WAVEN is kicking off its new Whisperer Season later today, featuring a new game mode and new playable heroes called Astramantises. Astramantis heroes were first previewed during last month’s Albuera season.
“Play as one of these powerful IOPS and make good use of their unique ‘Mantis Leap’ passive to throw yourself into the thick of the battle,” says Ankama. They’ll arrive alongside a new skin designed in collaboration with the author of the RADIANT manga series, Tony Valente.
The new season also brings with it a new Time Portal where players will get to play as a horde of tiny, but fierce beings called Whisperers to beat back attacking Bonta Guards. “Don't be fooled by appearances. They've taken more than one by surprise,” warns the devs.
The Whisperer Season, of course, will feature new Gold and Platinum battle passes with a new collection of Whisperer-themed rewards for players to unlock. Those include a boatload of gems, season tickets, new combat visual effects, Whisperer emotes, and a Whisperer pet.
“Remember, size doesn't matter. The Whisperers are proof of that!” touts the devs. “So beat the drums, sound the trumpets and head to the game now to enjoy this new season!”
