Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes is gearing up for another Wayfinder closed beta test next week on both PC and PlayStation 5. The playtest will kick off on February 28th and promises various gameplay improvements and tweaks based on data and feedback gathered from the previous beta test.

“We have been constantly watching, reviewing and listening to all the feedback from you eager Wayfinders and are working our way through each Closed Beta to bring you the best experience when the game fully releases later this year,” promised the devs.

The team has also announced its plans to sell founder’s packs which will serve as a ticket to the multiplayer PvE action early access launch in May. The packs will be available in multiple tiers and will also come bundled with exclusive in-game items and cosmetics that won’t be obtainable through any other means, including outfits, pets, mounts, and more.

Progress during the early access phase will carry over to full release along with any items and rewards obtained during the early access seasons.

“We will be releasing content in seasons beginning in Early Access, which will contain two separate seasons,” said Airship Syndicate. “Each season will last approximately three months. Each Season will include a brand new character as well as their signature weapon.”

That means that we can probably expect the game to launch by fall this year. In the meantime, signups for the upcoming beta test are now open on your platform of choice.
