Com2Us was established in 1998 by Korea University students Jiyoung Park, Youngil Lee, and Yu Jin (Gin) Hyeon. The company is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea with offices located in the United States, China, and Japan. Com2US was the first to introduce Java-based games worldwide at the 2000 Java One conference. The company is known for their mobile MMORPG’s including the real-time MMORPG - IMO: The World of Magic, and the widely-popular Chronicles of Inotia series for the iOS. They are responsible for coining the term “Tower Defense,” which they were awarded the trademark for on June 3, 2008. In 2008 Disney Interactive, Disney’s mobile game division, partnered with Com2Us to develop games which Disney would then publish and distribute in the United States. Disney Puzzle Family was the first game released under the agreement followed by Disney Game Parade a year later. On October 4, 2013, Gamevil, another mobile gaming giant, acquired more than 21.37% of the company’s shares for $65 Million. Com2Us aims to create high quality mobile games that are fun and exciting and at the same time adapts to the current rapid and steady growth of the gaming industry.
