TQ Digital Entertainment was founded in 2000 by Liu Deijan, a Chinese – American who also currently serves as the chairman and CEO of the company. The company is currently based in Fujian, China with over 700 employees and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Netdragon Websoft, Inc., another Chinese gaming giant. They have been credited with developing a number of outstanding Massive Multiplayer Online Games, casual games, as well as 2D and 3D engines, including the widely-used Unreal Engine 3. The company is dedicated to constant self-improvement and has taken steps to enter and become a key player in the overseas market. They haven't been growing in the U.S. too much since the release of their mobile version of Conquer Online. TQ Digital was one of the first Eastern developers to launch free to play MMORPGs in Western markets. They had tremendous initial success, but have since shut down several of their MMORPGs.
