Overview

Civilization 6 Overview

The next sequel in the game series created by Sid Meier, Civilization 6 presents refined mechanics, cities actually occupying tiles, and fresh challenges. Starting from the Stone Age, foster a young civilization to become a powerhouse in the world. Expand cities by building structures and World Wonders to provide buffs and resources. Units like the Trader or Builder have effects on their corresponding trade/practice, boosting output and/or research progress. Each tile of a city now serves a more specific and customized purpose, where it can become a specialized district (such as a militaristic or religious district). Research technology to access newer and better tools. Manage fragile diplomatic relationships with other civilizations, whose leaders now have agendas based on their historic achievements. Combat now features a doubling-up option, where two units can occupy the same tile to support one another in a battle.

Civilization 6 Key Features:

  • In-Depth Strategy – the Civilization series is known for deep strategic gameplay: players must make long-term decisions responsibly and adapt to dynamic challenges.
  • World Leaders Reworked – world leaders have their own agendas that they will pursue in-game, which are based off of their historic background.
  • Unique City Tiles – the specific tiles of a city can be specified as a special district for unique purposes, such as a Holy Site for religion. World Wonders also occupy a city tile.
  • Stack Combat Units – combat units are no longer limited to one-per-tile. Players can double-up with certain units to provide buffs in battle.
  • Research Sciences  unlock access to better technologies through research to benefit the economy and build unique structures.
