Contra Returns Overview
Konami partners with Tencent to bring Contra Hero Returns, a free-to-play side-scrolling shooter that brings the classic Contra IP to mobile platforms. Choose to play as one of four different characters, each with their own abilities. Blast through intense PvE story stages in the solo campaign. Tackle various PvP game modes like real-time ranked 3v3. Shore up on both premium currency and in-game gold to acquire gear of higher rarities for better firepower and survivability. Equip characters with armor and weapons, with certain characters having up to six slots for armor and three slots for weapons. Enhance gear with loot such as EXP tickets and gather the necessary materials to evolve it.

Development History / Background:
Contra Returns is a free-to-play mobile side-scrolling shooter developed by Konami and Tencent using the classic IP of Konami's Contra games. Konami and Tencent announced their partnership in this project in November 2015. The game was launched on August 08, 2018 in Mainland China. A Taiwanese release followed on August 08, 2018. An English language version is available via the Southeast Asian version published by Garena.
The Southeast Asian version from Garena become the global English version of the game on July 26th when IP restrictions were lifted. This version is now available to all players including those in North America, Latin America, and Europe.
