Gameplay is turn-based strategy where engaged units take turns spending action points. There is real-time free movement in battle, allowing players to use their environment to their advantage (such as roofs). Players can create their own squad of hired mercenaries, or team up with friends. Weapons come in a wide variety with detailed trajectories, taking in factors such as spray, cover, distance, and line of sight. The map consists of instanced battlefields, where players may choose to fight PvP or PvE. Other features include a clan system, a skill tree, a co-op campaign, a ranking system, titles and achievements, and global events.
