Power Rangers: All Stars Overview
Power Rangers: All Stars is a free-to-play mobile RPG developed by Move Games. The game features a surprisingly in depth story, with every mission providing more dialogue and narrative. Players form a team of five Rangers to travel through a portal to a world that's always nighttime to save a scientist named Professor Q, and eventually break the spell cast over the mysterious world. Combat is a mix of real-time and turn-based; Rangers can freely walk and attack in real time, but using their abilities pause the game as players aims their shots, choosing which enemies to hit or allies to heal. Players can also toggle between autoplay and manual play, with the more difficult encounters requiring careful manual consideration. Rangers are given different classes: Guardian, Striker, and Energizer, dictating the Ranger's specialty to tank, attack, or support respectively. Over 50 Rangers are unlockable across 10+ iconic Power Ranger series. Players receive a few Rangers for free by simply completing story missions, but a majority require Ranger Pieces, which either requires lots of time and luck to acquire, or hefty microtransactions. By completing raids and daily/weekly missions, players receive Crystals that can be spent on a random amount of Ranger Pieces. Crystals can be bought, but depending on the player's luck can cost $50+ for a single Ranger.
