Overview

Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2 Overview

Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2 is a mobile turn-based monster collecting JRPG. Players become a 'Devil Downloader', a person who can see and summon demons on their phone. An enemy faction called the Acolytes has this power too, and is using it to attack civilians, so the player must join the resisting faction the Liberators to stop them. Combat is similar to Pokemon, with players forming a team of four demons, each with their own abilities and elemental resistances. There are 160+ demons from the older Shin Megami Tensei games with wildly different appearances like typical snakes and dragons, as well as grotesque ones with multiple screaming mouths. Demons are obtained through typical gacha summonings, as well as a unique talking system. Enemy demons will sometimes talk to players, and if their questions are answered correctly, they will be unlocked without having to fight them. Players can also add friends online and summon one of their demons once per day. In addition to the four demons in a team, there are several leaders to choose from, who give extra passive effects like increased EXP, in-game currency, or defense boosts.

Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2 Key Features:

  • Unique Story - become a Devil Downloader, a person able to see and summon demons on their phone, and protect the world against the abusive enemy Acolyte faction.
  • Turn-based Combat - a combat style similar to Pokemon, with a party of four demons as well as a leader who gives passive bonuses, and elemental resistances and weaknesses for each demon.
  • Asynchronous PvP - set up a defense team, and attack player teams controlled by AI.
  • Friend System - borrow a demon from friends once per day, and ask for help or help others by healing or attacking.
  • 160+ Unlockable Demons - collect demons through a gacha system, each with their own abilities and stats.
  • Talk System - enemy demons will sometimes talk to players, showing off their unique personalities and unlocking the Demon without any combat if their questions are answered correctly.
