Ukrainian indie studio Artificial Core is determined to develop Corepunk at its own pace as it delays the self-described fog-of-war MMORPG’s second public test. It’s now been pushed back from “end of winter” to the final week of April to give the team more time to get everything in order.

“Due to the end-of-year crunch we experienced in December, we wanted to take more time to recuperate and enhance the game,” the team admits. “Our initial target for the next test phase was the end of winter. However, upon delving deeper into all the issues we’ve encountered, it became clear that we’re going to need more time to ensure a successful test phase.”

Alpha 2 is now set to run from April 23 to April 30, but Artificial Core says that it will be worth the wait. The next alpha build promises the new Ranger, Shaman, and Infiltrator specializations, an extensive list of new talent and build options, and the first chapter of an overarching storyline.

Testers can also look forward to a streamlined gathering system, tier 3 crafting, and lootable chests in enemy camps, along with various quality-of-life and performance improvements. A detailed rundown of what’s coming in Alpha 2 can be found on the Corepunk official website.
