This is episode seventy-one of the MMOs.com Podcast and we look at the most recent news and happenings in the MMO and gaming world. We're missing both Matt and Shu this week, but both should be back by next week. We started off with the weekly raid as usual which was "The Weekly Raid: Which MMO World Would You Want to Live In?" We quickly crossed off games with "war" in the title like World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2, as we wouldn't want to live in a dangerous place. Final Fantasy XIV and Scarlet Blade were 2 good contenders. We also discussed the recent announcement from Spellbound Studios about Chronicles of Elyria needing another $3m before being able to finish the game. We largely took a critical stance, but Sean seemed to think it wasn't an intentionally malicious move. We also talked about the purchase of Dignitas and Apex (eSports teams) by the 76ers (an NBA team) as well as the acquisition of Team Liquid by a group of investors.
