Quake Champions is a free to play arena hero shooter developed by ID Software and published by Bethesda. This video was recorded in closed beta but the full game is expected to launch sometime in 2017. Quake Champions feels a lot like Quake 3 Arena / Quake Live, except with some hero shooter elements tossed in. Players can play the starter hero for free but can rent the other heroes with Favor, the in game currency. Purchasing the game however, will unlock all the heroes. Despite having old school arena shooter elements the different heroes and abilities may alienate some hardcore fans. Those looking for a traditional old school arena shooter experience may enjoy Unreal Tournament a bit more.
