Elsword Season 2 Begins With Elsword And Rena Revamps

Following a short prelude, KOG Games announced yesterday that Elsword's second season has launched. With this update, Elsword and Rena have seen full revamps. Their appearance, attack animations, balance, feel, and even voices have changed. Christina Vee of Bleach and Puella Magi Madoka Magica fame voices Rena while Nicolas Roye of Naruto and Digimon fame voices Elsword, giving both characters English voice overs for the first time. The rest of the cast—even NPCs!—are also set to receive new English voices in the near future.

Several other major changes were made with this update. The skill tree is now sorted by the skills' level requirements and players can "choose from two traits for each active skill," allowing further customization of play style. Various skills have been redesigned visually and rebalanced to "[bring] the lesser used characters and jobs up to par with those that seem more powerful." Less used combos have been changed to "offer players a whole new element of play" and the UI has been updated to match.

Additionally, all players who play as Elsword or Rena for 2 hours between now and December 31st will be entered into a raffle. Real world Elsword swag will be given out to 93 lucky winners. Prizes include Elsword-themed mousepads, tote bags, and more. If that doesn't quite entice you to try playing as Elsword or Rena again, playing as either for ten minutes will grant you a free cube gift that will grant you loot every 10 levels.
