EVE Online's Skill Trading Feature Is Now Live

CCP Games announced today that EVE Online's much-debated Skill Trading feature has now hit live servers. Players can now purchase Skill Extractors with Aurum—they can be traded on the market for ISK—and begin trading skill points.

Each Extractor requires a 500,000 skill point investment. However, when injecting these skill points in another character, they "may provide diminishing returns." Characters with lower skill point totals will see more of the invested skill points than characters with higher skill point totals. CCP wants the system to favor newer characters.

Additionally, to encourage the use of Skill Extractors, CCP has launched several promotions. When you purchase subscription time, you will receive free extractors. The "double bonus Aurum deal" is back for a limited time. "Select PLEX bundles" are also reduced in price for a limited time.
