Titan Forge’s EVE Board Game Kickstarter Was Fully Funded In Less Than An Hour

There’s apparently a huge demand for an EVE Online board game based on how fast its Kickstarter campaign was funded. RPG miniature manufacturer Titan Forge kicked off the crowdfunding campaign earlier this week with a $54,000 funding goal, which backers managed to reach less than a hour after the campaign went live. Total pledges are now at $303,259 with 26 days left in the campaign.

CCP Games and Titan Forge first announced the board game in August 2023 back when it was still called EVE Online: The Board Game, which we admittedly threw a little shade at. It’s now known as EVE: War for New Eden and is promising to be as expansive as its MMO counterpart, with over 300 tokens, more than 500 cards, 112 miniature ships, four player boards, 20 custom dice, 2 token bags, 1 rulebook, and a partridge on a pear tree.

“For millennia, humanity thrived, expanding beyond the confines of the Earth, reaching out into the cosmos to colonize distant worlds. But in a cataclysmic event, known as the EVE Gate collapse, humanity was severed from its home, leaving colonies in New Eden isolated and struggling for centuries. From the ashes of this dark age, four major empires emerged, locked in a delicate balance of power until espionage and political intrigue escalated to a war – the War for New Eden.”

All pledge tiers except for the lowest one will include an EVE Online starter pack. Yhe topmost tiers also come with the Titan, Havoc, and Azariel expansion boxes along with a mishmash of other game board extras. Those looking for a larger experience can opt for the $433 Relic Seeker tier which promises a 200% oversized version of the board game with double-sized pieces.
