Aion 2 is a sequel to NCsoft's original Aion, which launched globally in 2009 and became one of the more prominent MMORPGs of its era - a franchise with enough history to feature among the most expensive MMORPGs ever developed. The sequel first went live in Korea and Taiwan in November 2025, and that regional release is already running.
