BitCraft developer Clockwork Labs has kicked off the much-awaited sandbox MMORPG’s 10th pre-alpha test earlier this week. The week-long playtest will run until May 31st and will focus on testing the game’s progression and group-based systems.

During this test, players will initially focus on solo progression, gradually transitioning to cooperative play as they tackle ambitious construction projects. The developers aim to simulate the dynamic experience of building and evolving in the game world, emphasizing the importance of teamwork.

To ensure a diverse pool of testers, Clockwork Labs randomly selected a significant number of new participants from the hundred of thousand hopefuls who signed up on the game’s website. Previous pre-alpha testers also received invitations to the ongoing playtest, in addition to those who received an invitation through the studio’s first-come, first-served invitation event on Discord.

BitCraft was first announced in September 2021 and has been in pre-alpha testing since November of the same year. The project has received over $22 million in investments from various companies and video game industry personalities, including Roblox founder and CEO David Baszucki. A release date for the multiplayer sandbox title has yet to be announced.
