Clockwork Labs is making it clear once again that BitCraft is in no way associated with cryptocurrency, blockchain, Web 3, or NFTs despite its title.

The upcoming survival crafting MMORPG is apparently seeing an uptick in interest after crypto trading platform Binance and other crypto-related platforms announced its Alpha release next month and the studio wants to set the record straight.

“There is no crypto, no web3, no blockchain, no NFTs, no drops, etc. in BitCraft Online,” Clockwork Labs tweeted. “BitCraft is an upcoming, open world, sandbox MMORPG that we hope you and your friends will enjoy. If you showed up expecting crypto or similar, there is none. We hope you will still stick around to enjoy the awesome community and our game once it is out and ready to play!”

For crypto traders who inadvertently wandered onto our website, we’re also shamelessly inviting you to stay. Any publicity is good publicity amirite?

Coming back to BitCraft, the game is set to kick off closed alpha testing on April 2, giving testers the chance to take the crypto-free core gameplay loop for a spin. You can throw your name into the hat by signing up on the official website. The first official gameplay trailer below should give you a good idea of what to expect during the alpha tests.
